It's the weekend, are you craving junk food? Rather than opening packets of aperitif cakes, we suggest this delicious recipe for grilled sandwiches with Cantal cheese, Saint-Nectaire and watercress.
For 2 sandwiches • Preparation 5 minutes • Cooking 6 minutes
Ingredients :
- 4 slices of wholemeal bread
- 4 thin slices of Cantal cheese
- 4 slices of Saint-Nectaire
- 2 handfuls of watercress
- 1 turn of the pepper mill
- Salted butter
Preparation. Spread the four slices of bread with butter. On a sheet of parchment paper, place two slices of bread, butter side down, then place two slices of cantal, then two slices of Saint-Nectaire, a turn of pepper and finish with a handful of fresh watercress and close with the slice of bread butter side up. Repeat the operation for the second.
Cooking. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches on their paper in the pan, cover with another sheet of paper and cover with a weight (a lid will do). Cook in this way for about three minutes, until the bottom slice takes on a nice golden color.
Flip the sandwiches and repeat the operation for the other side. Serve still hot, to share with friends (or not) around a small glass of Côtes-du-Rhône .
