A word about Oé, B corp and Entreprise à Mission
Oé is the committed wine brand . We work hand in hand with our Oé winegrowers to produce delicious organic wines and we are the first wine brand to have reinstated the deposit .
Our mission is to transform agriculture, consumption and business for good.
We are committed to responsible attitudes and choices on a daily basis. Concretely what do we do? We offer organic, vegan wine with zero pesticides. We produce a consistent 360° bottle: a recycled glass bottle without a cap because its composition is harmful to the environment ; a natural cork from an FSC forest in Portugal ; a recycled and recyclable label , affixed with a water- soluble adhesive . We deliver some of our partners with lockers to avoid unnecessary packaging such as tape and cardboard. We deploy the deposit throughout France thanks to our partners and our points of sale.
We wanted to go even further in our approach and we created the Oé Program for Biodiversity to raise awareness in our community of environmental issues and support our winegrowers by helping them finance some of their projects. Our goal is to promote biodiversity in the heart of the vines and to promote sustainable viticulture . All of this has led us to be B Corp certified since September 2017, to receive the “Lyon Fair Trade and Sustainable City” label and the Environmental Innovation Prize from the Revue du Vin de France in 2021. This year, we became a Company at Mission to engrave our environmental missions in stone.
The founders
5 years ago, Thomas and Fx embarked on the adventure of organic wine . They created Oé because they both wanted to contribute to a meaningful project and do their part as inhabitants of our planet.
François-Xavier , COO and co-founder of Oé, manages all the operations: that is to say the work with our winegrowers, the sourcing of the wine, the production and the logistics, all the administrative and financial aspects of the box.
“The best time to open a bottle is when I get to the very top of a peak I've climbed, it's the reward while you can marvel at the spectacle of nature. And there, I take a good Beaufort sandwich and a mini Oé bottle (because after that there is still the descent to do). To have a good time, what I prefer is going for a run in the mountains: a good trail with a little elevation gain and some beautiful peaks to conquer.”
Thomas Lemasle , CEO and co-founder of Oé puts his energy at the service of the team to give the vision and ensure that everyone is in the best position to deploy. He admires the whole ultra-positive ecosystem in which Oé operates and always makes sure that we take care of our community , and that in everything, the team is eager to do good.
“I have 3 little girls that I marvel at seeing grow up. I like what is beautiful, what is true and I believe that entrepreneurship is an enormous lever to respond to societal challenges. My favorite time to open an Oé mini in Châteauneuf-du-Pape is in the evening with my wife Claire, when everyone is sleeping peacefully after a great day with the family!”
